Winter's Highways

I sit and stare out the window bare, and watch the trucks fly by.
The trees move back and forth with all the winds force as a storm passes over high.
The rains pelt down upon the ground like pins against the glass, Word is winters here at last.
Up on 40 the truckers talk of snow high on Donner's pass, while down on 10 the word is ice is setting in were the rain has fell at last.
Hear the bear report, check your speed, sorry Smokie you can't have me. C.B. crackles with the words a acceindent has accured. Shift of gears, hear the breaks as the highway slows it's pace.
Some poor soul didn't hear the C.B's warning and the winters hazards have caught another.
Now the rubber neckers stop in morning.

A letter for my family

To my family, please know though i am away more than i like and it seems so not fare. Know with all my heart i still care. My love flies to you each night when the Lords Angels take to flight.
With a feathers touch so light and so sweet that is the Angels placing my kisses upon your cheek.Within the hush of the nights gentle breeze listen for the whispered words i have spoken telling you of my love. As the evening stars wrap around you ,know that is me enfolding you in a hug. Goodnight my family. I place all of you in the lords embrace till i can do it for myself, love me.

springs song

Father Wind is blowing strong, while Mother Nature sings her spring song the flowers dance upon the breeze while the boats rise upon the seas. A light rain has fallen down washing everything fresh upon the ground. The Willow tree dances in time with the gentle whoosh of the Evergreen pine. The birds sing their song for at this moment nothing is wrong. Mother Nature is at her best when spring starts its rush towards the west, over the hill and mountain tall to dance across the prairies; waking the flowers and the bees, with the hint of the gentle breeze. Crossing rivers and the falls to make its final presents known, bending low at the never ending seas this is what Mother Nature's song  sings to me.

Rose of Amber

I once saw a Rose in winter the color of rich, rich Amber, So delicate among the snow banks, but strong enough to bloom. Pretty as a picture with a stem so straight and tall, reaching for the sun like the air wasn't cold at all.

With pedels opened wide for all the world to see, daring the other little flowers to come out and dance with thee.  A rose in winter is a rare, rare thing; one that shouts to all to come out and play and sing. This rose of amber was more special still for this rose of amber could with stand the winters chill.

The chill of winter and the test of time, this rose of amber was not waiting for the springs sun to shine.
She danced and played among the snow and crystals, like a fairy among the thistles.
So light and airy was her laughter heard, like a song that carried on the wing beats of a bird.

A Giants Funeral

The word is out another Giant fell upon the ground for all to dwell.  As each passing Giant bows its head in a silent prayer, knowing that one of their own is no longer there.
The death of the Giant was not by his own hand but from another who refused to follow the plan.
The rules are simple work  14 and down for 10 then the Giants don't loose a friend.
It is a sad day when a Giant falls.
For the funeral is miles long, many will grumble and some may sputter. But  the loss of a Giant is like the loosing of a brother.
The Giants funeral is a wonderous affair, many who never knew the Giant will start to care. Wondering how it happened  and who was at fault.
Who put the Giant  in his criptic vault.
